I've noticed that selling reps on EBay became a real pain for potential buyers. Especially when sellers cleverly hides the fact that in fact they're selling a rep. Now, there's another breed of idiots who are in fact trying to sell reps officially, simply finding "propper" Bay safe descriptions. Most popular these days seems to be keyword "homage".

Surprisingly description and way the photographs are taken, reminds me of one of sister forums. What you guys think?
Note that prices are much higher than new offerings from our dealers.

Just for fun type in the Bay search engine keyword "homage" with appropriate brand. Youll be surprised what you'll find.

Well it did NOT sell.
Reporting it to Ebay stopped this sale. :)
("Thank you for taking the time to submit this report. This information is very important to us, so please be assured that we will thoroughly review it and take action if necessary.")
I emailed the seller and he's responding now.
First: "The buyer cancelled order let me know if u re interested ."
I asked if he would repost the ad.
Got this response:
"I am sorry i cant repost because ebay i not allowing if u want u can pay with paypal then i will ship it to you"
Said that made no sense that they would not like a new ad.
Got this:
"Because its not authentic-first quality swiss eta
U cant find this anywhere it custom made"

I got email from Ebay as well regarding this sale. It seems that it's not the forst time he got flagged for selling reps. I wonder if he's a member of one of the foras. Need to look at posted pictures of AP pandas on bracelets. :hehehe:

If you type " replica watch " more than a few reps come up, and they seem to be able to sell them with no issues from EBay. If they use the word "replica" in the sales listing, is it legit along the EBay guidelines? Rhetorical question really, considering they're fraudulent watches anyway. People always trying to make more on the bay, even saying rep in the sale pitch. Hilarious

If eBay makes money, they rarely care. I think it's mostly based on whether they are painfully blatant, or reported.

Great that it is reported. I was in contact with eBay customer support, and they told me how to report scams like this.

I also noted the subdials were a mess after I submitted the message... It is still up for sale, 1469 USD! :O

What does say about the bidders on eBay, because clearly, they do not know this watch very well!?
