I have never seen a customly lumed rep.
How big of a difference is it between the out of the box pam111/390 etc super lume and one of the rwi's modders lume job?

Worth the money in your opinion?

When you say "custom lume", do you mean having it relumed to a different color?
I'm assuming you mean just doing a normal relume. For some of the reps this is a useful mod, but the more recent ones from kw and zf seem to have a pretty solid lume OOTB. It depends what you're looking to relume.

i wouldnt spend the money to relume any of the recent PAM models unless its any of the following reasons:-

1) factory botched it but it wasnt noticeable during QC.
2) uneven lume which again(texture or brightness), wasnt noticeable during QC.
3) watch has been used for some time is lume particles r showing signs of powdering for whatever reasons.

other then e above mentioned, the PAMs of this current era usually have really gd lume OOTB as vbmrk has mentioned.

i'd channel e money into a purchase of another rep or plainly just saving it. less of a hassle.

I wouldn't get my 111 relumed as it really wouldnt improve it or if it would, not enough to warrant the price of the job. I did get my 372sc relumed by cwazy. From the factory, the hands were a little bit of a different color (more yellowish) than the dial and none of the lume lasted too long. Afterwards, it was matching lume and lasted enough to keep me happy. What was nice was Bolun asked me for pictures of the watch prior to me sending it to him because if he didn't think he could make much of a difference to warrant the pricetag he would have advised against it. So..............yes, reluming can make a difference, but not always. As mentioned already in the thread, a lot of the new reps coming from most of the makers have a pretty nice lume.

pam111, I do not recommend relume unless it was a model from a few years back. the new v2+ have very good lume.

pam390, I can do wonders on.
