How much customs risk to UK

How much risk is customs from say France into the UK ? is it safe to buy from EU sellers ? has anyone had any issues ?

There's a small risk involved... I don't think it's really as bad as it feels though.

Most important part is to get the customs declaration right to avoid higher chances of the shipment being opened for inspection.

I think one of the main keys is to not value it at like 2 or 3 €/$/£ to avoid duties/taxation. Better to value it at 40 or 50 bucks and pay your 8 or 10 bucks of import taxes than to provoke unnecessary attention.

I have shipped to the UK a few times, never had any customs issues. The only problems I have had are the delivery times: Royal-Mail is very slow lately with international shipments, but nothing else.
As @eBoy said, fill out the customs declaration properly. Write "watch returned for repair" or "defective watch for parts", value 30-40 €/$/£.
The risk is always there, but it's not that high.

Exactly. think about 35-50 bucks, and also mentioning that the NETTO WEIGHT should be correct! (measured with scale).
IF its controlled, they look if the scan works out with weight declarated, and with declaration. (for example an umbrella would be to large:D).
