One a2836 when my tool slipped into the balance spring during beat error regulation
Not skilled enough yet to change just the hairspring, so ordered a full balance wheel assembly.
At least a five shitty PE50 but not really my fault as they were really bad and I could not bear shipping a watch with them, so I binned them.
An old Vostok movement that I took apart for service and never managed to make work…because it had at least 3 shims due to shitty tolerances
One NH35 a few months ago trying to make the BlancPain Swatch metal mod. Improvised DWO was too thick. I killed the calendar works…this is how I learned that the NH35 had plastic gears in it
One G10.212 a moment of distraction and I snapped a subdial post
One case where I drilled a second lughole, because I was too lazy to bolt it down and I thought I could freehand it
One sapphire crystal when I don’t even know how I managed to scratch it. It gets some doing to scratch sapphire
Several hands sets where I forgot it in the oxidizing mix
… I remember in shame every single one of them.
Plus those I managed to fix, where it’s a bittersweet mixture of immense frustration and some pride too.
