Bit of advice required guys. I placed an order with one of the forums 'TDs' 6 weeks ago today. QA pics were promised 10-12 days after payment. This has not happened and all i'm getting now is excuses about The Chinese New Year and to be patient.

Im new user here and I have noticed certain leeway is given to these sellers. I get that but how long is too long?

Unfortunately, there's no rule for this. Model availability depends from different factors, and TDs aren't always able to source them quickly.
I'd give it another 2 weeks for knocking on their door for an update. And then knock once every 1-2 weeks if nothing changed. One month from now, if they do not propose it themselves, you may ask for a refund or a change of model. Both the options may also take time. Patience, always patience.

I saw the title of the thread and was immediately interested 🤪

Waiting time can be variable, and I think we all understand that the "not knowing" is a part of the frustration. Patience is always a good thing here - TDs will honour their commitments but it's often not up to them as to how quickly a given rep can be sourced.

What I'd add to Feefo's comment is that staying respectful and appreciative will serve you well, even if you're feeling impatient or frustrated.

Oh yes, very important. Being confrontational won't take you anywhere and is rationally/objectively useless against a counterfeit merchandise dealer sitting thousands of miles away.

100% agree what everyone is advising you, stick with RWI and you'll soon end up like most of us, when it arrives it arrives ;)

I ordered 2 from 2 different sources before CNY, the second one I ordered arrived yesterday, still no sign of the other, but I am almost 100% certain it will arrive (y)

Lol I've waited 6 weeks for a platona and 3 months for a arabic daydate, one from a TD and one from a non TD, new members always think the TD is out to get them and withhold QC... it's part of the replica game

I might say sometimes it's not the norm, but for the fact it was ordered right on the cusp of CNY which IIRC was actually started earlier than last year !!

I ordered 2 reps shortly before CNY, the second one was ordered a week after the first, that second one arrived 2 days ago, the first is still en route !!

Am I bothered .... Nah, it'll get here when it gets here ;)

I ordered two watches from @puretime over a month ago. QC pictures of first watch were sent and approved. I am still waiting for Puretime to send pics of the second watch which hasn’t arrived from the factory yet. I have sent a few emails and they keep asking me to be patient as there is a backlog due to the CNY. Happy to wait but the excitement of buying my first two reps is driving me insane 😂.

Yea, Emailed TD yesterday. same copy & paste response blaming factory and CNY.
Damn… I totally get your frustration!

I’m placing an order soon with one of the TD’s but will absolutely ask and make sure that what I’m looking for is available before I just blindly send my funds and hope they can “find it”… Not how I do business!

And to all fellow members quick to defend the dealers, I’m not saying anything negative about the TD ‘s but good business is also clear communication with your client and offer solutions, not some auto/ copy paste response to someone that sent their hard earned money.
