Don't hear much about this model around these parts. I was wondering if there are any owners who have this rep and could comment? How's the accuracy of the Ti color, lume, CG, etc. Do the reps also come with a Ti tang buckle like gen?

Thanks.

chromed.

Really? Because of the small seconds, or another reason?

Is your tang buckle Ti?

177 should have cream text too...

But people seem to be quite happy with rep 177...?

Also, some members are saying that the case back of the 176 is an easy tell because it is see thru, is it true? I thought gen is also see thru...?

Ignore COLDI, I doubt anyone in real life would be grabbing your wrist and proclaiming it's a rep because the text is a bit white ;) :p lol (IMHO, of course :p)

The clear caseback on the 111/112/177/176 is accurate to gen, it is the fact the movement is not entirely accurate that is a 'tell' :)

True, thanks. I also appreciate COLD pointing out the font differences to me.

So what exactly on the movement is a tell? The swan neck, or something else?

Just the overall finish, I think, and the fact the H Factory are using low beat 6497 movements not high beat movements.

Is it actually visible to the average naked eye that the low beat movement ticks at 3Hz and the gen beats at 4Hz? Or are there other physical differences?

Barely visible on a PAM with a seconds hand (e.g. 177, 111) unless you're staring at it (which an interested stranger would find hard to do) and on a 176 there is no seconds hand so it's not even an issue!

Unless someone is a PAM WIS, I doubt they will notice it's slow beat from the ticking sound, although it is true that the Ti does seem to transmit sound slightly better than SS.

Really, just buy it, once you have seen that lume and how it looks on the wrist you won't be disappointed! :)

Oh ok. I thought you meant that there were physical differences between the low and hi beat movements. Are there visible tells besides the ticking?

Perhaps in the printing/engraving of the OFFICINE PANERAI and other blue writing on it, and maybe in the swan neck construction and overall finish, but just don't take it off your wrist and no-one need know ;) :D

I just hope mine will come with a Ti tang. I've heard stories that this is not always the case.
