My collection is growing and soon I will will have a serious storage problem.

I would like to keep my pams in a nice box, in a size fit for 44 mm and above and holding about 10 of them.

What are you other addicts using? :D

Well, I only have a 231 left, but I am sure my future pams will sleep here:

Bigger is better!!

I am waiting for delivery of this beauty I bought on Ebay. It's a hanging cabinet that will hold 30 watches (up to 50 mm). Don't own enough watches (yet) to fill it, but it is always wise to look ahead.

Nice! Pam style.

Where did you get it?

From a guy called Homer. Don't know if he's still around...

I use one of the ones you can get from ebay with a drawer underneath. I can take pics later. Only problem is that the see through glass lid is not high enough to allow for the pams. But a simple fix is to take out the pillows or put the plastic guard on them. :)

Possibly it was Pug, but I do remmeber reading someone saying to store your pam's FACE DOWN for some reason.

Not sure why or if its even sage advice, but I've been laying them face down across one of my book shelves ever since; hoping it will add a few more months worth of life to them.

What kind of boxes are high enough to clear the bigger pams. Specially the 47mm and vintages.

I wind my pams face down.

Storing them face down sounds odd. At least if they are not running.

Imagine open your watch box, containing your 10 plus pams, to show your friends your collection and they all are face down! Hard to decide what to wear as well.

A nice storage box (like the pam pear wood box in the post above) make the morning routin of choosing the watch of the day much more pleasant.

Re: Bigger is better!!

Boss, this type of storage wold be perfect but this seller is in Eruope and shippoing to US would be killer. I have his ebay id saved and watching to see when he lists another one since he has not since I saw yours.

You have a good looking box MolleS. But to my taste it is too small for pams. Can you shut the lid properly?

A good box should have maybe two rows of five slots, i.e. room for ten watches. I am not fond of the see trough lids. The interior should not be black or to dark since that will show off the dust. Neither it should be to light. Light grey or beige is nice. Black stained wood for the case is nice. Or maybe whitened oak. And a discret Panerai logo on the inside of the lid.

Have anyone seen a box like that?

Can it be ordered?

Is it even possible to design and order an official Dark Side watch storage box with your favorite logo printed inside the lid? I remember seeing something like that from River or Ruby(?).

- and yes, I know the 195 has toppled over... :D

Edit to add: Cabinet from Ikea (some years old, now), lighting (at clearance price) from Homebase, bookcase (dirt cheap) from B&Q.

Clive, you need a few of these to go with your Panerai Maiale (Pig ) model.

Each gen AD display usually costs more than the swiss pam reps. :)
