I had a mishap last night with my new BCE v3.

While trying to glue the rider tab screws into the bezel, the Loctite went straight into the tapped hole and into the click spring and teeth. Making the bezel very stiff to turn due to all of the dried and almost powdery glue.

I tried soaking the watch in Meths and very hot water, but to no avail.

Has any got any suggestions please?

Thanks

well on a car you apply heat but that sounds kind of bad to do to a watch. If you maybe heat up a needle (not red hot, just hot) and hold it with a vise grip or a clamp you might be able to clean it out that way, very slowly and carefully, by picking out the dried loctite with the needle tip.

Disassemble and go over the parts with rubbing alcohol.

Ah....no need for any further action.....

I just sprayed a load of WD40 all over the watch, left it for a few mins, then rotated the bezel about 10 times and now its as free as originally intended!

YAY :D

but I keep having to mop up the white sludge with tissues (sounds like a Seanf comment!)

could do with some compressed air to blow it out
