HOW DO THEY DO IT: AP Carbon Forged Cases

I was looking at this today:

And really wanted to know how the hell do they make these carbon forged cases. Fortunately enough I came across this video on vimeo which was filmed at the AP factory, showing the whole process. Half of it is boring but I figured that some people might find it interesting

I knew this a while ago, I watched the whole video, I have always been fascinated by the forged carbon fibre cases.

Yes, it looks EXTREMELY simple, but the rep factories have a LONG way to go before they are able to do it.

The tolerance for proper forging of the carbon fibre, is under .001 of a gram.
