Encounter with your doppleganger

ok. kinda funny but frustrating story happened today,.

I was at home working on my paper and my wife comes in after picking up the kids.

I greeted my wife very gingerly as I always do but she immediately says "Don't you have some explaining to do?"

I am of course dumb founded and ask her what's up?

She accuses me of sneaking out to have drinks with girls and I'm like WTF is she on about. I'm proud(or ashamed, depending on who I'm talking to) to tell you guys that I could pass as a monk when it comes to women. I like watches and cars and other electronic gadgets more than women. Seriously.

But she says she saw me on one of her girl friend's photo!!

She produces her smart phone album and shows me the photo and WTF!!! I'm there!!! .... but i wasn't there, there!! .. and yet there i am! but I've never! .... arrrrhhhggg shucks!

There is this guy who look exactly like me! I mean i can tell the slight difference and this guy was wearing a baseball cap, which doesn't help because I usually wear caps as well...;-(

And all the male subjects in that photo are my buddies.....!! How the... !!

I'm repeating myself here but this guy looked amazingly similar to me, almost like Super-Rep version of me! My kids are fooled absolutely and went to sleep believing that their daddy has been a naughty boy! ;-(

Has Any of you met your very inconvenient doppleganger? Tell us about yours ;-)

marriage is based on trust. if this story is actually true then just tell her the truth. if it wasn't you then it wasn't you. if she has trust issues with you then regardless of what you tell her, she's still not going to believe you. good luck

Well, we don't have trust issue at all. But the photos is just too unbelievable, even I was confused whether I had forgotten the occasion. ;-(

She is not mad about it anymore but I don't like leaving it unresolved more than anything

You say your mates were there with this guy in the photo, then ask them who he is and get a picture of you both together and show her your doppelganger ?

Yeah, talk to your buddies. Sounds too wierd to be true, yes, find a doppelganger is one thing, but him hanging out with your buddys.... hmmmm. Sure you haver no medical issues? Sounds more likely the it in fact is you, you just don´t know it (or denial?) rather than your doppelganger is also friends with your buddys.

Sounds like a hilarious prank by your buddies haha. Or they found him on the night and wanted to take pictures with your doppelganger, not knowing it would get you into trouble?

Thanks for advice guys. Well, not exactly difficult to prove later on as one of my buddies in the photo is getting married soon. Besides, I was out volunteering for the RedCross that night for those refugees!
I Wasn't being naughty, I was a good boy that night really. Lol

TBH, don't see the need to prove, but I find it amusing about the chance of discovering my doppleganger mingling with my buddies!!

My wifey is not too concerned after the initial disbelief. Now I'm more interested to know if any one of you have met your doppleganger

lol jeff, if I had fun, I'd gladly take the flak from wifey. My problem is, I didn't get to enjoy any of it , yet take the blame for it!? [emoji24]
