I've only watched part one so far, but it reminds me why I buy Rep, not Gen.
All you hear from the narrator is, "Then a computer controlled machine does x...", "A high precision robot then does Y...", "A computer guided laser does Z..." "A highly technical, automated milling machine does blah...."
There seem to be no people involved apart from assembling the (computer made) wheel train.
What a con some Gen watches are.
Those machines aren’t cheap!
But really I agree. It’s so similar to how watches are fabricated anywhere - in China for instance at a fraction of that cost.
Ahhhh, but the trick is you just buy one awesome CNC machine, then use that to make more CNC machines ad infinitum until you've got a factory full! Easy peasy!

...you are not considering the amount of engineering and capitals that stays behind. We are talking about watches with components ranging from micrometers to milliliters, you can't expect an operator manually doing some work other then brushing/assembling..
But the Chinese can easilly buy/have already bought the machines that can make such pieces. So where's the added value of going Gen? In the Patek video, your see what you pay for (in part), but those Pams? Pointless. Add much as I love then, I'll stick to buying Rep - or even 'handmade' by Natas!
