I had some bored quiet time and started reading, and it is FANTASTIC. HILARIOUS stuff . Highly recommended reading to amuse you and lighten your day.

Just an FYI for anyone who has not explored and discovered it yet.

The Brig, whilst funny I'll admit at times, is reserved for the lowest of the low.

Someone can end up there for a number of reasons, but alot will be scumbag scammers, and I don't find them funny, not for one second. They are lower than pond scum.

To them I wish only the worst & am a huge believer in karma, so if it hasn't already, I do believe their day will come.

Members should of course read some of the threads in The Brig, I would recommend it, but not for amusement

They should do so to learn from the mistakes others have made before them, and not repeat them again.

Pains me reading some of thread titles, all comes flooding back. The fact that people are actively trying to scam people within a community of like minded individuals, over sometimes a pitiful amount of cash, is horrible.

We have the mods to thank for so much, and the brig proves this.

Its the internet. When we would meet in a local Pub with our reps and talk about em, make deals, and whatever share whats so cool about this hobby, this would never happen. people forgot. that internet can lead to real life consequences.

So I fully understand the bigger picture and the reason it exists. That in and of itself is serious. But maybe the difference is you are a moderator, behind the scenes and intimately involved? While I am just some doofus, reading from the perspective of an onlooker?
Because, c'mon, there are a lot of people here that are really funny. A lot of it is dry and acerbic, and a lot of it is wacky and totally off the wall (see the replies right above me!).

So I can both laugh AT the scammer scumbag and the excuses, but mostly laugh heartily at all the commentary and gif's that are posted from folks that are not the scammer or victim.

Would you agree that there is a lot of pitiful excuses, and a LOT of peanut gallery commentary? I am certainly not trying to make light of the scam itself.

Ok, fair point, I'll agree their excuses are pathetic, their defense sometimes laughable, I just didn't wanna lighten the seriousness of it.

Folks on here scare me sometimes though, truthfully.

I'm a novice, but sweet jebus some of the stuff folks here can unearth makes me shudder sometimes.

Can ya imagine your mother, brother, son, relative, employer, being told of your misdeeds, is it really worth it.

Safer just to not be a pr!ck I think.

Others think they know best though & they get a shiny badge for thinking that.

On the flip side, as ya can see they are hilarious too, hands down the best forum & it's the reason I come back each day.

As ya see, they are all jealous because I am Irish and they're not, but thats ok. It's a curse I live with.

You come here everyday to make sure you get the quarterly cheques from all the TD's. I read that on Reddit and they know everything about how RWI works. So it must be the truth lol..

My dad was born in Cork and came to Canada when he was 19, so doesn't that make me Irish?.. Watch how you respond or you will be moved down to my third favorite Irish moderator

Would you like me any better if I told you I was part Irish (from my father's side)? About 1/8th or so as best I can tell. Do I qualify to wear a "Kiss Me I'm Irish" t-shirt?
Being a Moderator (here or anywhere active) has got to be tough, you are mostly presented with the worst in people I imagine. Thank you (specifically) and you (all of you Moderators) for doing a thankless job.

Cork doesn't count. They call themselves the real capital. I guess if they were the real capital, they wouldn't have to call themselves it, does a lion call itself a lion,.nah, it just is....but thats just an observation from someone born in the actual geographical capital
