Hey all, Last year I did a M2M trade with a member whom then disappeared and then banned but not before he got my Rolex Sub. What I got was his Tag Carrera Cal. 1887 with the hour hand out of alignment. I need someone who knows how to adjust this. Here are a couple of pics. The first will be 10:00 and the other will be 12:00.

Thanks for the help.

Yes. I am slowly collecting items for a Rolex 16613 for a re-build. But first, I'd like to get this Tag back on track.

Duct tape ball to remove caseback. Remove crown. Remove the two small screws (or the plastic "cage") that holds the movement. Turn upside down and remove the movement assembly. Depending on the friction fit, you may just be able to gently push the hour hand into position with something like a tooth pick...then reverse to assemble. If not - pull and reset hands. Lots of pics and videos available.

I had the same experience from at m2m mate. Its not hard for a watch Smith to fix. Might cost you 10$ just get a quote and they will fix it for you.

Thanks. In just this deal I lost 2 watches, a Rolex Sub and this Tag. I was going to try and mod a Sub 16613. Got the watch, new crystal, insert, crown, bezel; the first crystal I paid for I received an empty envelope so im thinking im done and just toss this shit. Cut my loss at a few hundred.

How long has it been since you paid for the watch?
It could still be coming...
Otherwise file a help desk ticket.
If he still doesnt respond you can talk to mods about a credit card/ paypal charge back.
I think those are your options.

I know you have a sour taste in your mouth now but just sort this out and buy from very well known sellers or tds.

There are far more good guys here than douche-bags. Unfortunately, the DB's can have way more impact on the hobby. Chalk it up and try something new to get the sour taste out of your mouth.

Is the hole too big for the pinion? If so you can still salvage it by broaching the hands.

junbug5150 Sorry bro, I have no idea what you are asking. Are you thinking the minute hand hole is too large therefore it swings freely when tapped?

OK. I will see if I can pull them off with ease.

I would have suggested the same but I don't think that's going to solve the problem.
The hour hand is behind at 10 but it's ahead at 12.
"Friction sliding" it ahead to be good at 10 will put it way way ahead at 12 and vice-versa if he were to "friction slide" it back at 12.
....unless the main hands don't function the same as they do on a non-chronograph ??
