HOT: My fully modded PAM 196 (7753)

maybe you have seen my fully ziggyfied PAM029 here: http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24968

I just received my PAM196 daylight (7753) which has been fully modded, too.

I've got just two quick wrist shots but want to share with the forum. Crystal has been singel side ar coated, DW is reprinted, dial and handset relumed with SL C3 and the crown is a 2,1mm palp crown. Watch is running great +2 sec a day! Enjoy my quick wrist shots:

Where did the reprinted datewheel come from?

Looks great, I've got the start of a 7753-powered 196 project, as well (hence my interest in the datewheel).

Fantastic watch. The old case 196 was my second Pam. Never should have sold it. Kept perfect time, looked great. At that time (two years ago), I thought the Asian 7750 was a time bomb. My Arktos has been running perfectly for a year!

The only criticism of your watch is that the crown is too big. Crown should be smaller than base Pams.

You've got a keeper for sure!

I might be wrong about the crown. I think I was looking at the 121 or AMG 105 Chronos.

Indeed, today my DSN 5218 201a arrived, It is the latest model with improved dial printings (sharp like hell ). That watch is a KILLER only issue is the ar coating which is a bit strong (blueish). As you kow these early PAMs didn' have an ar coat. My cam is down at this time but I'll be back with pics soon!

BTW: The crown on my 196 is the right size :wink:

I believe the datewheel can be purchased from Lello over at another forum. He responds very quickly and is very helpful. Finepics may have some, or point you in the right direction.

Nope!

I am familiar with lello he did the Ingy DW for me (I sent in my as a prototype/ "test pilot" My PAM029 has a lello DW as well.

But the DW of my 196 is a reprinted 7753 DW. No overlay. The work has been done by finepics over on RWG.

Is the 3 lined up correctly? One of you pics show it off a bit, I'm assuming it a trick of the photo....

That's correct: The printings are perfectly aligned. When I decided to send out my original DW for a reprint I was a bit concerned first. But When I received the date wheel back I saw what a perfect job the printer has done. Many thanks again to finepics over on RWG!!!

I'll take better pics of my 196 (today also my new 5218 201A arrived ) but at this time my digicam strikes

I also have 196 with Asian 7750. Seeing your post, I regreated it that I should have invest in7753 instead. Sometime haveing a good part on watch, it does not just make it work good but I feel that the wearer also gets confident in wearing it.
