Hi all,

In Summary, I purchased a BP 39MM Rolex Explorer from HONT which turned out not to be a BP Model as advertised. I only realised this upon the arrival of the watch and discovering that the watch was more or less dead on arrival. If you look at my previous thread other users have compared their watch to mine side by side and have shown it is NOT a BP Factory Explorer 1 as I thought I was buying.

The watch arrived to me in the UK on 29 December 2022. Initially everything appeared to be OK until I discovered the watch losing time considerably and then stopping randomly despite it being fully wound. I posted some photos and videos online and other users then commented on it also not being a BP version.

I got in touch with HONT regarding this and he was argumentative and denied the fact that he had sold me a watch which was not the version I had ordered and paid for. He essentially stated that If I had any issues with the watch that should have been at the QC stage and not once the watch had arrived in my hand. That presented some issues obviously as all looked well on the QC as I firstly did not know the difference between a non BP factory model and a BP model and furthermore was unable to know the watch was faulty when looking at in photos.

After considerable back and forth HONT eventually stated that I should return to watch to him in CHINA and he will issue me a refund. Obviously I was aware of NEVER to return a watch to China because chances are it will never be seen again. I told this to HONT and he then stated to send the watch to his friend in Germany. Once it arrived to his friend HONT would issue me a refund.

I then packaged the watch securely on Video according to his instructions and shipped it to Germany via Royal mail International tracked and signed. The watch was sent on 3rd January 2023 and arrived into German customs on 6th January 2023.

According to German post the item was processed through their customs on the 6th and there has been no update since then. I have been in touch with HONT asking him to ask his friend if the watch has been received and am getting no reply. At this stage I do not know what is happening with the watch because I am getting no update from the other side.

I am hoping someone or the MODS can help in the instance as I am out of a watch and a refund. In reality I would have hoped HONT would have owned up to his mistake of sending me essentially the WRONG watch and just issued me a refund instead of putting me through this. I am more than happy to share screenshots of my conversation with HONT and in reality it does NOT paint him in a good light.

Locked - you already have a thread going on exactly the same subject, why open a second thread, on the same subject ?
