Hi everyone,

I'm new here as of yesterday and have been reading up on how to become a better repologist.

Just wanted to first thank everyone in the participation in creating such an informative board, there would be no way I would have understood the rep market as well as i do now if it weren't for you. thank you.

I've had my eye on a Grand Carrera Calibre 36 and I have a couple of questions.

First has anyone had any experiences with working with the company "Perfect Clones"? I understand the importance of buying from a trusted seller like Hont, RM, or WE, but this company offers a watch that others don't seem to have.

Here is the watch:

http://www.1-pc8838.com/tgca3610011-grand-carrera-calibre-dlctiru-black-a7750-p-8299.html

Notice how it's DLC black coating instead of PVD. Do you think they are lying?

Also they state that their casing is Titanium which is also something I haven't seen. This would be awesome in that the watch would be much lighter than a stainless steel version no? Could they be misrepresenting their product? might still be 316L?

Can someone explain to me what a "working regulator" means? I'm still a newb.

So this place seems like they have a great higher quality product, which I'm assuming since they take the time use Titanium and DLC, their 7750 might possibly be better assembled and not in need of service once the product is received.

Has anyone seen another watch in this price range of this model with these special specs that is cheaper and from a trusted dealer?

Thanks so much for your help.

Nothing against perfect clones but personally, I would stick with other sellers on this forum. Most dealers are able to get what you are looking for so just email and ask.

Most dealers sells the same items, but some dealers are better with English / wording so they are able to advertise better. There are really no way to tell if it is indeed DLC or regular PVD. I will assume it is PVD in any case. DLC coating is actually not as durable as some people might believe and there is no way to repair it once it has been rubbed off. Titanium requires stronger tooling to machine. So it may or may not be what is used.... but you can not tell under the "Diamond Like Coating" so no one the wiser. Weighing it against steel will be a good comparison.

As far as the asian 7750 goes. Perfect Clones will email you QC pictures with a timegrapher shot. So you will be able to see if it is indeed 28,800 and how much time it is gain/losing per day. But again, this guarantees nothing regarding the movement's reliability. Assume nothing.

Not quite sure what the "working regulator" means in this particular case. All 7750 clones can be regulated. That means the timing can be adjusted slightly depending on if the watch is running slow/fast.

Hope this helps

Was just reading about this watch on another forum and it looks like even if the specs might be better, this one is dead in the water.

It is missing the "200" in it's bezel, instead it's replaced with just a "0," probably better going with someone else if this kind of thing will bother you.
