I wanted some expert advice. I'm hesitant to buy the new Panerai 111m and the 177m. The movement looks great, but does it break easy? People say its not reliable. Some people receiving it and its not working? Are they that bad? Even the new 21600bph high beat seagull movement's are NOT engraved! Look here http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/my-new-6497-2-platinum-78820p3

So can someone help me? If I get one of the new 111m or 177m will it last long? Or should I try to find a dealer to get one of these watches and update it with the high beat movement? The high beat movement lettering is painted so will that chip off over time?

If you are worried about the movement you can always go for the 111J and have it relumed ;)

The latest upgraded versions (current ones have a different movement) are a lot better

Do you know if that's also the case for the 292K?

I'll see how long it last before I try a transplant of high beat seagull (no problems with engraving since the case back is full ;) )

Really, the new 177m and 111m have the better high beat seagull movements?
Who is selling them? Every dealer I see is selling the low beat.

From the rumours, it's still a low beat movement but the quality is better than it was (well, supposedly)

mine are keeping chronometer time...had my 111m from andrew for 2 weeks and the 177m from andrew for 5 weeks or so....both wind up really nice, sound like swiss and keeping time like swiss. love that freaking lume...very very bright and applied evenly and perfectly. my crystal on my 177m is just a bit tilted but its barely noticeable to me when i try and see it. the new movement on the 111m is really bright and clean looking, very nice reps..both of them.

So, are there any Panerai reps that have the seagull movement in it, already?

I don't think so...
That's a pitty but well, if it has a closed case back, swaping the movement with a seagull @21.6k from Getat e.g., is not very difficult...
I think that when (if??) the movement craps out in my 292K, I'll try the transplantation myself... A good intro into real horological works...
