High beat movment? You be the judge!

Is there a way to tell if a movement if low beat or high? Can the Pam experts tell me please?

i believe you can tell by the center wheel a 6497-1 will have a smaller number of teeth and a 6497-2 will have a larger number of teeth.

Yes, Well I paid a dealer extra for high beat, I was just trying to make sure the dealer changed the movement.

By this criteria, it looks like you have the 21.6kbph version.

It is a low beat:

- big balance wheel
- there are no slopes around blue screws
- missing pearl effect on the bottom plate (to be seen in gaps between bridges)

More important is a hint from a dealer (Josh) when I asked for similiar service (111M with new high beat already installed) - they don't do it since both parts come from two different makers and may not match.

I wish everyone didn't jump the gun on watches that are just unacceptable. It would push the factories to make better watches for cheaper.
