Hello poracho and Welcome to the Dark Side!

The first is always the biggest purchase for everyone.

I would suggest starting with the dealer review section. There in nothing more important than picking the right dealer.

Good luck and have fun.

as you all know.. the first time is always the hardest..

The hard parts come in waves. First, is making the decesion on which to buy. Then wiating for it to be delivered. Then explaining each new watch to your spouse as thet are delivered after you're bitten by the bug. :D

Welcome to the forum.

Ok.. here's the to do list.
1. Location? Is custom in your country well known for confiscating stuff?
2. Pick your dealer... You can refer to RWI 5 star Dealers. They are suitable for first time rep buyers. Make sure you have a PayPal and/or MoneyBooker account and/or ready to make Western Union payment (can be very expensive, check the exact fee in your country).
3. Now... the hard part is to pick the watch. It's a matter of taste. I shall recommend Panerai 44mm Luminor series if you have 6.5" wrist or above. Or if you're more conservative, go for Submariner with Eta movement.
4. Wait... patiently. Give about 14 days before pestering your dealer. Be polite.
5. Enjoy your watch...
6. If you want short cut, PM Klink. He is much wiser than the young taka.

Welcome to the Dark Side and hope you like it here.

Remember that some of the dealers here also sell jewlery and handbags for your wife. This will keep you out of trouble a lot longer than flowers will. At least that is the case in my house. :D

Thank you all!!

I honestly think you would be comfortable all the way to 47mm. I tried on a friends 47mm PAM127 today, and although it is a big watch, it would wear it. This was the first time I have had anything that big on my wrist. It was right on the verge of overlapping my arm, so I know I'll never buy a 49mm.

I have a 44mm PAM 177H that I believe fits me perfect. Its weird going back to my Rollie after wearing my PAM for a couple of days.
