Very nice vintage from the pre-tag days.

Has this been repped? :)

No.

That's a very collectible piece and increasing in value very quickly. Over the last couple of years their price has skyrocketed. You can get other cheaper 11630 autavias if you like the look. They won't have the blue accents and the white dial but they look great. If you like them get one before they become too expensive! :)

By the way, by the look of it I would guess that that siffert was refurbished by a guy called Abel in Belgium. He does magic.

The price of a Siffert Autavia is ridiculously high, sometimes approaching McQueen Monaco prices. Alternatively, you could buy a TAG-Heuer Autavia Reissue from 2003 in blue/white. These were strangely unpopular at the time, but the Reissue was the first watch that ever used the neo-Cal. 11 movement, later seen in the Silverstone Reissue and the Monaco 40th Anniversary.

rooster133: I was talking to a local collector last night, and he recommended that same Belgian to me. Sounds like a wizard, and reasonably priced, too (versus TAG service, that is). I'm having some issues with my Cal.12's chronograph, and it sounds like he could help.

And a propos of nothing...

I couldn't recommend him more strongly. He worked on one of my 11630s (remember the rare white dialled non-Siffert?) and I couldn't have been happier with the results. He's really a Heuer wizard. He managed to source rare parts and made the case look amazing. The only thing is that he's very busy so climbing up the waiting list takes a few months. But it's worth the wait, especially if you want a full refurb.

The OP should also go join up at http://www.onthedash.com/ and also chronocentric.com
Both friendly places with a hell of a lot of vintage Heuer knowledge.
