Just a quick review now I have the watch in hand.
Firstly, the movement is the real standout here. The rotor is silent, and when free spinning it seems to go on forever. It is by some distance the smoothest rotor I've ever seen on a rep, or indeed many gens sporting stock ETA or Valjoux movements. The column wheel is entirely functional, and as I suspected it seems the movement is a 7750 base with an entirely new chrono module designed for it. No crunching when stopping, starting or resetting.
The dial is great, it has this layered 3d effect when viewed off angle, and the skeletonized date wheel is really impressive. Case is very well finished, minderless clasp system is good, and seems to be fabricated from titanium, as per gen.
The downside, at least for me, and the reason this will be a catch and release, is the size. This is a 45mm watch that really wears like a 45mm watch. If they rep the smaller version I'll be up for that, but this is just rather more watch than I can wear.
