Possibly a first here so I’m prepared to answer questions from those of you that are interested. Up for sale is a newly acquired authentic Hermès Birkin 30. This is made from Hermès newest Jonathan leather. The color is Rouge De Coeur and is a 2019 D Stamp. This bag has not been carried. Only checked at the store, placed back in the box, then placed in the carry on luggage and flown back on the plane.
My wife and I have built a solid relationship with Hermès over the years and are from time to time offered certain bags when they become available. For those of you that know your handbags, this is THE bag to have. In a time where Louis and Chanel bags have become just as common as Rollie subs, the Birkin is the standard in the bag world.
Long story short, we were called by the sales associate and informed that they had a red Birkin that my wife had been wanting for awhile now. We made the trip to the store and purchased the bag. Hermès will not ship any of their high end bags through mail. The buyer must make he trip to them.... plane, train, boat, car, or all of the above! At any rate, my wife has decided the red is too bold for her. So, up for sale it goes.
It’s difficult to price the bag because of how hard it is to buy it at Hermès. You can do the research and see that the going rate for a new Birkin starts at 16-20 thousand dollars on eBay. Top luxury consignment shops will easily price this close to or right at 20 thousand usd. These may also be stamped 2017 or 2018. I’ve even seen used Birkins being sold on Saks Fith Avenues website and Last Call of Neiman Marcus for close to or slightly above 20k.... used. My asking price takes all of these factors into account. I’ve attached pictures of the bag and will provide more if requested.
If I am able to find a buyer here and they are in conus, I would be willing to hand deliver the bag. We can work out the details. This sale will include the bag, clochette, lock and key, rain cover, storage bag, and the box. Thanks everyone and please feel free to ask away!
