HERITAGE BLACK BAY BRONZE BLUE ZF (dented second hand)

Received the watch from intime on last Monday. Unfortunately i found that the second hand was dented. I send a note to Ryan whether i can return the watch (pending for his feedback).

I'm not sure whether the second hand really dented or maybe is it just a crystal effect.

Looks like it's just a little distortion caused by the curvature of the crystal. Gen is even more pronounced from pictures I have seen.

Out of curiosity, why did you choose the ZF compared to XF?

The comparison between XF and gen also shows that the second hands in curved shape. Case closed.

Interesting. I wonder why? You are right though, the comparison to gen clearly shows the bent second hand in the tear down.

It's fairly common for watches to have slightly bent second hands at the tip, so that it's easier to see where the second hand is locate. Without that, the distortion at the edge of the crystal (especially at angles) can make it a little more difficult to see well. A lot of IWC pilot watches have this too.
