Hi, just wanted help to see if its just me, or the bezel at 12 oclock is misaligned? Is the mis-alignment serious enough to RL?

Thanks so much!

The watch is tilted slightly to the left, so it looks like the 12 is crooked. Don't worry about it. Looks good!

Would you please add horizontal lines from the 10 o’clock to 2 o’clock and 8 o'clock to the 4 o'clock. That will provide some horizontal perspective.
Gotta make sure everything is plumb, level, and square from every angle. It is your duty to red light anything that does not pass the trusted red line test!

Don't get him started, or else he'll pull out the diagram lol.

RWI history lesson:
He's refering to a guy who thought his new watch had a detached rehaut and he wanted to send it back for a new one. We all laugh at him, but he's serious. So then @p0pperini posted a joke Rolex diagram with a spring bar labeled "Rehaut detachment tool", then that guy sends me a PM with the diagram and said he'll go elsewhere to get a watch built after I told him it was impossible to have a detached rehaut.

Oh, and the watch is fine. For future reference, bezels can always be rotated if they aren't aligned. As simlpe as pulling it off and repressing it.

That's a funny meme. I think I get it now, what I am essentially doing is to expect my rep to be better than a gen. Lesson learned, its my first rep and I guess I lost my way. Instead of enjoying my new purchase, I am stressing out about the dumb stuff.

What's really gonna trip you out is how small the watch looks after seeing big, blown up photos of it on a computer screen.

We make a bigger deal about flaws and imperfections than we should. Hope it arrives well with no issues

Give me any opportunity to dredge up the Rehaut Attachment Tool, and I'll go for it...

For future reference, the rehaut is actually a permanent part of the watch case - the section visible through the crystal that the dial sits under and the crystal sits over. On modern Rolex, the rehaut is engraved with the crown at the top and ROLEXROLEXROLEX around it. The letters line up with the dial tick marks.

As Kush and others have said, there's nothing wrong with your Daytona and even if the bezel was a squeak out of alignment, it can be removed and rotated to the correct position. Then removed again and re-fitted again, because someone forgot to check that the crystal's laser etched crown was also aligned right. Then removed and refitted again, because someone managed to get a fingerprint on the underside of the crystal, while removing the crystal from the bezel because they came off together last time you removed them.

This is so true! I remember the first watch I bought m2m. The seller, being a great and honest seller, brought very clearly to my attention a couple of scratches the watch had on its side. I almost changed my mind about buying it because they didn't look good on the pictures. But then I still bought it and when the watch arrived I could barely see the scratches and it puzzled me because I was expecting to see them pretty well. I'm very glad I bought it because that's one of my favorite reps.
