"Stan's" case is so called Angus/Ruby style. It's the case that originally came with 111E & 113E reps from Angus and Ruby. The watch itself is good looking and very nice, as long (and this is where just about ALL similarities end) you don't start comparing it to a gen Panerai case.
This rep case comes with slightly incorrect corners shape, chunkier lugs, flatter and thinner caseback with smaller xtal diametar on caseback, but larger diametar on the main xtall. The bezel as you said is higher and wider.
Also, the crown isn't great, although thicker in profile, it comes with lesser number of teeth, and almost no shoulder, so it sits flush with the case when the lever is closed.
In this case TWP case is my favourite of the two shown, as it's standard rep case which is much closer to the gen than Angus/Ruby one. But that crown that sits so unnaturaly off the case is a visual turn-off. It actually isn't the crown that's worng it's the CG that is of bigger diametar than standard. This oversized CG would perfectly fit Palp crown for example as that one comes with shallower dish, but won't fit the standard or genuine crown well.
Hope this helps a bit :?
