Hello all, this is both my first rep and watch in general so I have a couple questions. In order for my new watch to keep the best time, how do I freeze or reset the seconds hand so I can synchronize it with minutes? Secondly, is the crown guard supposed to have a little play in it? Mines a little loose but seems like I can tighten it with the right tool.

Thank you for your help

Your watch does not have seconds hacking, therefore you won't be able to set it to the second.

So it shall just remain inaccurate forever? That's hard to believe but I guess it is what it is.

You'll have to plan to be a minute early or late for the rest of your life

If the CG is loose use a 2mm flat head screw driver and remove the two screws, loctite the threads and tighten them back down, use medium loctite, one that can be untightened again...

On these watches is it bad to set the time back? I figured it was alright because I saw them do it on the product spotlight for the watch on Puretime.

From what I've read, it's possible but very highly unlikely. Like I've never experienced it even once in all the PAMs I've had (and I have more than 1 PAM. ;) ).

If you're really worried about the second hand (I cant say I've ever cared) then allow the watch to run down until it stops, set the time correctly, then wait until the seconds are just before where the hand on the PAM points. You can then quickly give it a few winds, and the movement will quickly spring to life and the second hand start moving. It won't be completely accurate, but should be within a few seconds.

Then you have to never let the watch run down, and hope it's very accurately calibrated so it doesn't get out of sync over time :D

PS setting time backwards probably doesn't do any harm as there is no date function on the 111, but personally I always wind forward just in case. Don't blame me if you wind backwards and your movement breaks!
