Help with my first Panerai Rep

Hi guys, I'm quite new to the world of Reps and I'm looking to buy my first Panerai Rep.

After reading up on the guides, I've decided on buying a "Super Rep" - namely the PAM005.

My question is: Is it better to buy it with the rubber strap and then buy the brown leather one later if I want it, or vice versa?

Also, is the one listed the best "Super Rep"? I take the N and H Factory to mean that it is the N-series V2 Hmaker as outlined in the "Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE".

Three versions available of PAM 005: noob, H FAC, KW.
Noob is the best, h fac and kw follow closely, both second place on par with their pros and cons imho.
I personally wear PAMs only on leather, but don't rely on the rep strap as it will be poor quality.

Yes Mate , I've bought with Asso Strap - 26mm Buckle.
The Pam 005 it's came from Ryan like You can see in my pic.

I think for straps u can go for the real McCoy instead of rep.

I recently ordered a couple of straps from kain heritage. Now waiting for my parcel.
Tot the price was decent after looking at a couple of third party providers.

I thought kw / v6f are considered the best for Pam, it's seem that it's vary from model from model ya

Always ask your TD to deliver it on a rubber strap. The rubber is of decent quality and cam always be used for swimming or sweaty days.

Pure , I will make you laugh..... I never even used a gen in water. Never.... I'm a strange man.
Even the Rolly Submariner Gen !
Thus , the problem that the strap gets wet don't have it. :junio:

The Asso strap that fit my 005 as of valuable quality I think....
I had the same strap on 005 gen it's not any such a big difference....only noticeable the fire engraving under the same.
But if we look at the crocodile strap the difference it is obvious.
I can say that 'cause my 346 fit a rep crocodile strap.
Remains the fact that even the strap 346 is valuable...not poor like another crock straps seen in another Panny models.

And as written above , I've never used a rep and even a gen in water.
But I think it's my problem....:straightface:

If you're just starting off, that rep leather strap will be just fine. Once you start getting deeper into this whole rep watch game, you'll start seeing the advantages of buying nicer straps to change up the feel/look of the watch.
