Hi
I own a 388 wich i got from a m2m sale wich became to be my favourite beater...
Recently I noticed that a screw on the back ,that is supposed to come off if I need to change straps, was loose (all the others are loctited so the seller said) and i can't neither fix it down nor remove it...
The arm that supports the leather band consequently oscillates a little ...
What can be done??
Thanks guys

Depends where you are but you can buy lug screws and bar sets for 15-20 dollars. You are going to need to slip a tiny screwdriver under the screw head and lever upwards while unscrewing the screw. I would suggest getting some help so you don't slip and scratch the watch case. I am a newbie but this is how I got my screws out. The screw is stripped and will never tighten. The replacement screws I bought in uk are much much better than the originals.

Thanks mrrusty.
Already scratched it...
I don't think I can slip anything under because the head is not that far out... but I'll try!!
Anyway I'm in Portugal and would like to know where can I shop those bar sets you mentioned...just in case.
Thanks again mate.

I was in Portugal 3 days ago. Doh! I don't know if I am allowed to post the name of the company here. Could anyone advise me?

Another way of 'pushing' the screw out is to gently twist the wire lug up towards you while unscrewing from above. This may not be possible with strap still fitted though.

Hey glengrant... The company is www.watchobsession.co.uk and they ship worldwide for £6.95. Click on accessories and scroll down ... they accept pp. I figure it's ok to post this link as it could help others with radiomir lug issues. I believe there is another company in US who sell them. You can also get them on the bay but I don't know about their quality.

Me again ... you should be able to get something under the screw head because the screws slots are slanted due to the case shape. Like I said ... find another pair of hands to hold it all steady.

That's great. Yes get the screws/bars. Be careful that you don't lose the 4 small wire lug collars inside because you will need them for these lugs. The new lugs that come with the set don't need the collars but I don't think they fit as good. They work but move a little. My advice is to use the original wire lugs and collars but with the new screws. Good luck.
