My clean ym 40 since i got it has had a rough spot in the bezel. i actually thought it was a feature. it was 120 click bezel, but first 10 mins from 12-2 were 1 min/60 click. i convinced myself this wasnt a feature and it was supposed to be 120 click bi directional all the way around, both ways..
i took bezel off today and cleaned off all grease to get a look at things. i dont see anything wrong? only thing i can think is something wrong with click spring. i took apart and put back together 4 times. spring different place each time. always rough in same spot. actually now without grease very hard to turn and gets stuck.
i am putting the metal washer in case first. then click spring with 3 pegs facing up. i see that it is 60 min detents, but spring rides in every other detent making it 120 click as 1 or 2 of the 3 lobes is always not engaged in detent. i got the spring in flat, then lined up 1 peg hole. then 2nd peg. then finally snapping bezel down on 3rd peg.
am i missing something obvious? bezel turns nicely with the click spring removed. i confirmed i havent lost the plastic bezel gasket either. thanks!
