I'm new here.

I recently ordered a VSF 116610lv from trusty time and it's gaining a full minute every 4-5 days. No watch repair center in my area will touch it since it's a rep.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Help! :)

I found this post…
It does mention the vs3135 movement as well.

Give it a shot. What’s the worst that could happen? You could sell it but you’ll take a bad loss on it. It’s not like you’re going to make it so that you take much worse of a loss. Just try not to break or scratch up anything. Good luck 🍀

Serious question, what do you use your watches for since they need to be so incredibly accurate? I would NEVER notice a minute over 4-5 days....
I wear my watch for a couple of weeks and see how much it gains or loses and then adjust. Otherwise I’ll never know what it’s really doing. The position changes over a short period might be totally different than what you do normally so it’s best to get an average over long period.

That's like an average daily deviation of +12 sec to +15 sec per day. Not a big issue at all: these are replica movements and they are not designed/ calibrated to COSC spec like gen Rolex.

Hell, there are plenty of gen Rolex out there that performs worse than your findings due to age and mechanical wear/ tear.

To put your findings of a replica movement into perspective, the factory spec for an ETA 2824-2 standard grade movement (https://calibercorner.com/eta-caliber-2824-2/) is below:

Accuracy:

The expected accuracy of the ETA caliber 2824-2 depends on the grade.

  • Standard – +/-12 seconds per day up to +/- 30 sec/day
  • Elaborated – +/-7 seconds per day up to +/- 20 sec/day
  • Top – +/-4 seconds per day up to +/- 15 sec/day
  • Chronometer COSC spec
The average for this caliber is the +/12 seconds per day range since most of the 2824-2 movements out in the wild are the Standard grade.

Try using one of those free apps that measure beat etc. see what the results are. 3 of my 6 reps have similar numbers to what you posted, and it’s really not an issue, only one is actually meeting cosc specs which is my daily wear. It’s a stunning vsf 126610LV with a aftermarket pvd insert.
