Forgive me if this has already been posted.

I got a 508 recently and have since put it on a gen rubber strap, but I don't totally want to waste the "cracked" black rep strap.

The rep strap is garbage and it feels like it was dipped in plastic, not comfortable or leather feeling at all.

I am wondering if anyone has any tricks on how to strap that off and make it somewhat serviceable? I am not going to wear it much but at least want it as option.

Any help is appreciated!

Hey brother, its meant to be distressed and flake off. You can try scratching it up with some sand paper to create a very distressed and vintage look or let it occur naturally !

I actually really like the cracked look. I'm wearing it on my 372 in the pic below.

Did yours haves layer of plastic sheen? So it's just supposed to bend and flake off?

The rep strap is actually not that bad. Here's mine with a monster Pam submersible clasp.
