Help with a Tudor 79090 build...

Hello Tudor folk,


Would like to pick your brains and ask for your expertise...


I’m interested in building a Tudor 79090 as an everyday watch.

I have a Cartel 7928 case to reshape and mod with the usual stuff.
Also have a ETA 2824-2 as the engine which I believe is correct for the model.

I don’t have a dial, and will possibly get a Vietnam one made up.
Not fussed about the bracelet as I would put it on a Nato or a NDC.


From my understanding, the Tudor 9411 and the 79090 both share the same case - is this correct?

I like Snowflakes but find the readability of the dial a bit difficult so this works a lot better.

Any advice on where to source a dial and any other difficulties with this build would be welcome!

I´d like to build a Tudor 79090 or a 5513 too. So I am looking for infos where to buy all necessary parts.

First of all I need a good case and read a lot about Cartel cases,
but I don´t no where to buy them. Can you help me?

Tudor 9411 and 79090 cases are nearly the same...
A good dial for the price it’s yuki as always!
Athaya crown it’s a must...
Movement 2824 its perfect,same as gen!
if you want a better build (for another budget) you should choose a Vietnam case and a phong dial...

Just to follow up, any success in your project?

Im about to embark on the same project. I have a 79090 case.

Just wondering, if the what movement spacer do you use for the case?

So u need it? Or can u just mount the clamps without it?

If so, where can i source this spacer?
