hi and thanks i have a Pam 399 which i love but i know did not get too much love on this board
i wear in in rotation and yesterday i wound it up and towards the end it felt like a click and a drop in tension i stopped and started wearing it
after a few hours it stopped so i wound it up again and after 15 clicks i felt the click and the tension faded it ran for a hour or so and stopped so i needed to wind it

what are your thought is this a relatively easy fix or do i need it serviced did i screw something up

help is aprechated i like the watch and want to keep it or worse case who is good in servicing CONUS

I think it's actually really hard to overwind a 6497, did you feel a stop after winding, and then did you try to continue winding it more? If so, you're gonna need a movement replacement

This is a problem with the Minerva clone from what I've heard -- I have both the 399 and a 322, and the 399 has not had any issues, but the same thing happened to my 322. I think the problem is that the crown stem is too short and disengages -- 45mm movement in a 47mm case could be the issue?

it works for a whiles say two plus hours and stops when I set the time and start winding it i can make say 25 turns and then it jumps which it can be the stem jumping and disengaging which I've now experienced all day today basically need to reset and wind

thoughts help advice or is it a lost cause

If you used a movement used in 45mm watches in a 47mm watch, the stem used should compensate for that change. At least a 1mm (2mm difference/2) longer stem would be required.

Which is why I think that's something that has been overlooked in the release of these -- just slapping the movement in with the 45mm crown stem and not thinking about that difference seems like a pretty easy mistake to make. Or maybe my expectations are to low for our Eastern horologists haha.
