Help! T48 on my LH 111H broke

I suppose that fate has a way of tempering one's over enthusiasm at just the right time.

This morning when I opened the lever of my little hero 111H I discovered that the crown has gone wobbly. It's obviously broken and I will now have to try fix it.

Can anyone advise if this is normal? I note that T48s tend to have this issue (bro mojojojay's Ti crown broke some weeks ago). What are the replacement options? Will a gen crown have less problems? Assuming I can get hold of one? Or is this something common to all PAMs?

I'm obviously crushed given that this is my most expensive rep to date and I tend to buy the 'good ones' to avoid these problems.

Can anyone guide me to a tutorial on how to replace crowns?

If it's the spring loaded T48 crown we're talking about, this is a known issue. I heard a new less fragile batch should be coming soon, but since it's not out yet no way to know if it will be true.

Goin seems to be able to micro-weld the crown so it is less fragile but I have no idea if he can do it on a crown that is already broken. Anyway maybe it's worth shooting him a PM.

You could order a non spring loaded one if theres any left. I ordered one a week ago or so.

If you want to fix it , I can help you .
But the shipping fees might be the same as you order a new no-sprong crown .
So try to contact T for a new T48 will be the best .

Is replacement of crown an idiotproof activity? Or do I need the services of an experienced modder?

Thanks for offering, Goin. I'm defiantly going to send you some work in a matter of time and will probably ship the crown together when that happens or maybe I can share shipping with Mojojojay. In the meantime, I'll have to make do with my new BK sub to tell time

My new SL T-48 broke as well when I was going to thight it on the steam.

I got a few non SL crowns from Sead instead.
Looks awesome on my 02/a and 201.

This was the next question I was going to ask... apart from T48, what other crown options are there and what are the differences... I will go read the comparison review but quick question here... is this sead crown good for the 111H? Is spring loaded more correct?

ash , i've already shipped my stuff to him 2 weeks back . now waiting for him to ship me a fiddy a 111e case n hopefully he's kept a CG for me to be included into the shipping .

Seads crown is actually very very good.

A lot of people over look it!

Its .8mm wider than a gen. But the beveling of the teeth are amazing. Its great for pre-v builds as its similar to the older palps. But it would be a nice crown for a 111
