Mikmihai - if you want an automatic pam, you should not be looking at an open case back.
The reason for this is that panerai has its own in-house movement for automatic watches (Most of them anyway) these movements are not rep'ed as of yet and you will receive a watch with a 7750 or 7753 movement.
This movement does not look like the panerai inhouse movement and will be a dead give-away. In terms of reliability, it has been discussed on this forum that the manual winding A6497 is a work horse and is bractically bulletproof in terms of reliability
the 7750 and 7753 are good but not as reliable in terms of quality as the 6497. regardless which way you go, you will still need to take care of your watches and service them regularly.
This is your first PAM, go with the PAM111, the watch has been discussed a great deal already and you will not regret it.
If you are steadfast on getting an automatic - consider ones with closed case back (088, 299, and there are several others) - Have you looked at ALE's guide yet?
