Hi All,

As you can probably guess from my user name, the watch that needs fixing is my PAM113.

I dropped it about 2 months ago and have done nothing about it. The drop caused the second hand to come out as well as the minuet hand. There is a minor chip on the crystal and the dial also appears to be misaligned. :bash::trainwreck:

As the case back is crystal i can see the movement is still operational. So the help i'm looking for is either someone in London i can be recommended to take it too or the best person on here to send it too.

Appreciate any help given guys!

Crystal is easy to source but I like the 'nock' it adds character, it would look great with the hands back on, I sent op a pm as I'm not far from him, as long as he pays the shipping both ways I'll get the hands back on [emoji6]

You are probably better off with buying a new one (imho)....with all the repair cost and crystal replacement I am pretty sure you are looking at very close numbers (with the added benefit of getting a bran spanking new watch if you chose to order a new one)

Sell this one for parts and buy a new one

If you insist on fixing it:

message DSN for a "new colorless AR high grade sapphire". I think they run about $60

Then send the watch to a trusted repair guy here for assembly for probably another $60

Or get a new one for a little more;)

I'd agree that this one might not be worth fixing. Chalk it up to bad luck. I dropped a Pam 292 and the ceramic case cracked in two spots with a hairline split. It bugged me so much I ordered a new one a year later. Now..the movement from that is in another watch and I donated the rest of the parts to one of the modders.

If the PAM113 Noob is out, your other option is the KW PAM561. @torobravo just came out with a sale announcement.

Update on this, I found a guy in London who sorted the minute hand and oiled it for £45... he cam back to me a said the pinion on the second had snapped and would cost 265 LOL!!!!! Surffice to say he had no clue it was a rep which although complimentary of the watch, doesn't say much for him!

I don‘t see why the fix is so discussed here.
Even with a 30£ tool set you could have it fixed in less than an evening. There are various tutorials for this movement on YouTube.
Did he tell you that the pinion of the hand snapped (easy fix) or the wheel-side shaft snapped (not as easy). The second one would require a disassembly of the movement and a spare A6497 movement for the wheel. If you do it yourself you are looking at 40£ for the movement and about 2 hours of work for the watchsmith.
you can source hands via getat or aliex, Getat will try to match the lume to your watch, that’s about 24£ incl shipping.

A broken seconds hand pin is not an easy task everybody can do as it requires the train bridge to be disassembled in order to swap a new seconds wheel in. A watchmaker should be able to do it easily though and it would not cost 265 euro by any mean, that's a 50 euro fix if using Swiss parts.
it might be worth it because a new movement will not have the rep's decorated bridges.

Kilo is 100% correct. It needs this... 4th Wheel With Long Pivot For Second Hand For ETA 6497-1. Ebauches #224. The Swiss original part is $13.00. And it will fit in an A6497. Having said that, your case and crystal are a mess, plus there might be damage to the watch face from the hands sliding around, maybe it is time for a new one...
