help rating this regatta for purchase?!

i am interested in going for my 1st PAM and have eyes set on the regatta... something about it vs all other PAMs just do it for me...

however, ive seen several casebacks and am looking for help making sure the detail level is there... can the experts help me identify if this one is close? some casebacks show purple-ish screws on the rear gears, this one appears to be black?

This watch is Rattrapante model. The movement is completely wrong and the pusher @8 is just cosmetic non working. Of course it has no Rattrapante function.
If you are looking for accuracy this is not your watch.
If you are looking for a beautiful and well built watch, Yes It is

Very similar but a little mroe accurate the PAM 253, But wrong movement too and No Flyback function.

I presume then accuracy wise, the regatta models are mainly for looks. And are not functional...

I saw the 253 on the pure time site. Anything else similar you can recommend?

As Ale said - take a look at the guide for more advice.

The 212 and 253 are open case back watches which show the wrong rep movement for this watch. This is why it is inacurate appearance wise. Also keep in mind that these functions such as retropante and flyback will not work with rep movements.

if you want chrono - take a look at the daylight series as they are closed case back and all functions work. The guide will be your best friend here. It all depends on what you want and what you can live with in terms of flaws when comparing rep to gen.

i happen to love the face and look, size etc of the regatta... if the rear window / gears are the only flaw then i can live with that..... but he mentioned the flyback doesnt work? is that.... chromo?

All these questions are explained in the PAM GUIDe and with videos. Please read a lñittle and make your homeworks.

The Flyback is a little especial chrono function non working in replicas, But all good replicas have always normal chrono functions.
