Any suggestions on how this can be remedied. Does anyone offer a replacement insert. Love this watch but its not the same without it. Thanks.

Mine too. If you purchased from a dealer you should contact them to see if they can send you a replacement. I got mine M2M so I am out of luck with that option.

I purchased a cheap bezel insert off the bay and will use the pearl from that. It's actually not too bad but could use a relume. I contacted Vac regarding the pearl relume but he must be busy as he was disinterested in doing the work (I was going to get the watch waterproofed and tested as well).

I also contacted Alberto to see if he had any gen bezel inserts but he did not (he had some a couple of months ago). They are pricey if you can find them ($180) but I like the BBB enough that I would not hesitate to invest in a gen insert.

Please let me know if you come with any other ideas on the pearl replacement.

I'll give rouhelena a shout. Bought mine M2M as well. Maybe one of our TD's can give us a hand. If you guys have any other suggestions let the us know. I'm sure there are going to be more who have lost the pearl as well.

The Helenarou PIP does not look as good. Here's the one I took from a cheap bezel insert I purchased of the bay. Not permanently installed yet, just a test fit.

May I know what adhesive is advisable to reposition the lume pip?

I am going to use GS Hypo Cement but you could also use epoxy or superglue.

Wow that looks better than the rep pearl of you flatten it out.

I agree, I like the look of this pearl better but it definitely needs a relume for two reasons:

1. the lume brightness on the replacement pearl is pretty bad
2. give the lume a flat top, not domed, like you mentioned

I was quoted $45 to relume the pearl. I haven't done it yet but might in the future if the watch stays.

Hm, is that the bezel you purchased from eBay wholesaleoutlet? I haven't seen the genuine in person, but the eBay replacement looks too blue. The rep bezel is a touch too dark if I recall correctly, but still closer to the gen than your new one color-wise.

The pearl looks better on the eBay though. Have you thought about removing the pearl, trimming it down, and attaching it to the rep bezel? A "franken" bezel? :)

I'm also curious -- how are you guys losing the pearl? I've only worn my Blue Bay a handful of times but I tried forcefully tugging at the pearl and it won't budge.

Here it is installed:

Also, do you mind sharing how you removed the bezel? Slip a flat knife at the 7oclock position? Is there anything to watch out for with Tudor bezel assemblies -- springs, retaining ring, etc?

I'm thinking about swapping out the pearl and sealing the crystal while I'm at it. Hoping to take this bad boy snorkeling in the Caribbeans pretty soon. :D

Much appreciated.

Damn! I am in the same situation, I lost the pearl on my blue Black Bay. The trusted dealer offerd to send me a new bezel (with pearl) for $30 plus shipping, but I am reluctant to go that way. I've never swapped a bezel before, and I'm afraid I ruin the damn thing. And if I get it right, it is not unlikely that the rep pearl will go missing again...From this tread it seems that the best option is to get a cheap Seiko insert from eBay, pop out the pearl and glue it on my rep bezel. Or are there any other options that have emerged recently? As the color of the blue Black Bay is slightly off, I would definitely go through the troble of changing the bezel insert if I could get my hands on a gen insert, or a rep with a better color. Have anyone seen a place where one can source a gen insert?

I chose to follow the advice from anonwatchguy , and installed a pearl from a Seiko bezel on my Black Bay.

The lume on this pearl is lousy, but now I can use my Black Bay again. In the words of Gerorge Costanza: "I'm back, baby!"
