Hey guys,

my name is Alex and I`m from Germany. So first of all: Sorry for my bad english

I`m looking for my first PAM. It should be a really produced PAM. I found a lot (to much) of informations here but now I´m a little bit confused.

Please help me out. Which PAM would you prefer: PAM 375, 386 or 441? Or is there another PAM in the same look?

Which of these PAMs offers the best REP for +/- 300$ ?

Greets from Germany

Which PAM to prefer is up to you - very different Panerais although the overall look is similar (ceramic/composite).

Good reps are made for each model - as always the only way to compare every aspect (CP/CG/Materials/...) is to take a look at ALE's Guide. Will take you 10 minutes but you'll know everything afterwards!

Actually all references you are looking for are selling for 350-450, a bit above your budget.
The only one that's worth the price (even if it's the highest) is the 441 from kw/v6 factory, due to the real ceramic case.

Thank you guys for your answers!

@tr0y: I like the look of all these PAMs, that`s why it is so difficult to make a decision. I`ve already seen the Guide, which helped me to contain the choice.

@kilowattore: 441 is my favorite but the price is very high for a Replica. I see you have a lot of PAM-reviews. Do you know something about the 386? I have read, that this Version was never released. Is it true?

Thanks

IMO, for a full ceramic case the price is justified. Go with the 441 ;)

If you want to keep the 300 price tag you will have to change models. Check Supermirrors section on the forum and Intime's website, they have very good deals on some great reps, maybe you can find something you like.
In any case, always buy what you like the most.
And yes, I think the 386 was never released in stores, but it does look good just the same :)

Ou man.... I hoped to hear something like: Don`t buy the ceramic one, the others are good as well ;)

I think I will buy the 441 ceramic. Did I get it right, the Power-Reserve is just for show? But the GMT is working, right?

From the list, 441. But if you're going with the 441, better go all out and get the 438. Buying the bracelet later might be more expensive, plus you're more likely to replace the rep strap anyway.

It's one of the first tips I got when I was getting a PAM. If there's a bracelet version, go for that. I've seen it on gen forums as well as the price of the bracelet alone could buy a few nice reps already.

Thank you for the advice! It might be a good idea although I`m not the biggest fan of bracelets. I have to think about it.

As I see it is the same movement just black, right?

I do not really get the difference between 12 (gen) and 24 hrs. GMT. How does the GMT-function work?

Thank you very much guys for the help! I Wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Yes, same except for the PVD/black painted movement. The GMT works by indicating the time in a different time zone, the 12-hour only indicates the time, not the am/pm so you would have to figure that out in advance. The 24-hour GMT does not have this problem and to help, usually they have 24 hour indices in the dial/bezel. However, the 12-hour GMT has the advantage of being put in the same position as the hour hand when not in use, essentially being hidden.
