Help me understand this

THis guy has hundreds of Rolexes for sale on Ebay. Tons of money for each one. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at but most every one seems like it has worse than a canal street dial, a horrible date box Cyclops and font, and I've never seen so many with the date off center on so many watches. which would possibly mean the movements are not what they should be? Things just look off overall on so many of his watches. Also his subs all have weird crown guards. cases look weird and bracelets on a lot of them too. He does say aftermarket dials and stuff here and there, but asking premium prices for everything, and they are all horribly done if they are gen watches. So just interested in what you guys think. Here's a couple of his watches, but take a look at his other sales to see the other ones. Some do look gen, but then others look like reps or at least a lot of rep parts. If so we need to definitely report his whole thing because it's hundreds of thousands of dollars. If not then I'm totally missing something. lol

They are ALL Gen Rolex watches with 'custom' made dials, [not by Rolex]. They are a legit source for used Rolex watches in San Francisco. Some may look weird, but with the 'custom' stuff, but still genuine. They cater to the deep pocketed impulse oriented guys who don't know any better but want to look unique. They also do the 'mods' themselves. A rich noobies source to get that 'one and only purple and pink Mustang !! They are out there !!!! Lol !!

thanks Joe. I just wanted to make sure. Wow, just horrible looking watches for sure. The Cyclops they use and date box and fonts are atrocious.

yes, I guess there are people buying them, but wow. Using cheap rep parts, not even good rep parts.

It's because those dials are photoshopped on to the pics of the watches.

Yeah these are 100% photoshop job (or a Paint job for that matter)

The pixelation of the hands is from using a much smaller picture of hands and stretching it to size. Same deal with the cyclops, which has also been scaled wrong. The refractions on the diamond are exactly the same as the the other diamonds - meaning they were literally copied and pasted

Lots of sellers like this all over. They buy used ones for a cheap price. Mix and match. And do some dial 'refinishing' they call it !! Ha ha ha ! And use that word "Custom" dial which sounds exciting and unique to plebs and dummies with deep pockets, and bingo !! Another one is sold !! They are all Gen. Yes they are. even the 'refinished' dials are all genuine Rolex dials. There is a small 'cottage industry' here in LA doing that sort of thing !! Yup !! ........................not unlike the shady used car trade. Same racket but in a smaller form !!
