Help me mod my PAM48

Alright, so I purchased this from another member and I looooove it. I had been looking for (literally) 2 and a half years for a modded 48 and one finally came up in the sales sec. Now that I have a great one started, I want it to be perfect (well as perfect as it can be).

The previous owner had a 7750 put in, relumed the hands/dials and put the correct date wheel in. The only issue I would like to see fixed is the bezel, possibly a dial, and AR. I have a cheapie 21J I picked up a while ago that seems to have the correct bezel.

The one of the left is the modded (older D series) and the right is the more recent cheapie.

Would it be possible to switch out the bezel, throw in a gen dial, and AR it?

Any other suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance !

All that should be possible, though a gen dial will be expensive and very hard to find. Is it an old Cartel model or an MBK? If you're talking about getting an AR job done and a gen dial, with the DW you already have I think you should invest in an MBK base to put it all on. The case and bezel are among the best ever in rep panerais, I think. The crystals are very good, too, though they need AR.

I've got an MBK 048 (or my wife does, I should say) and all I really want for it is a Taka DW, old Cartel dial with the fat indices, and an AR job and I think it would be almost perfect. Of course, the dial is the hard part, and it's probably not gonna happen as my wife doesn't care about the details like I do and she's the one who would have to go without wearing it while it got modded.

Oh how I wish cyclops would go the way of the Dodo! No, they should be banned. Made illegal. Ownership of watches with cyclops should become an indictable offence. Such a beautiful watch, and then Panerai puts that stupid cyclops on the crystal. Anyway, best of luck with your project. I'm sure it will come together beautifully.

ive got a gen. 048 dial and 049 dial, the 048 is in a rep i pvd the case and deployment buckle ,, i was gonna sell the 048 watch in all but if u want the dial email me and maybe we can work something out

I have located a gen bezel and an AR crystal. I am fine with the non-gen dial. If I can just get the bezel and crystal to fit, I'll be a happy camper.

Any help to know if these would fit? or who to send them to?
