Hi Guys, I've been hanging around the forum for a while, got an armful of reps now and a couple of gens, not learned much unfortunately - must be dim. I do have a Kermit though which I really like and wondered if someone would help me identify it.

I bought it off a guy who used to be on the forum a lot. He told me it is franken, TC base, 2824, gen bits and bobs. TBH I cant remember which bits are gen or not and didnt take much notice as he sent it me as a consolation for a GMT that never turned up from China at the start of the COVID, so I accepted it no fuss as everyone was suffering. Whatever it turns out to be no fuss - I quite like it, winds smooth, keeps great time and looks the part.

Does anyone recognise the features of this and maybe identify somthing of what it is - just out of curousity now really.

Photos from TAPA in a minute.

It's a BP Kermit. The date position is about 1mm from where it should be, since this one is an ETA date wheel.

He told me it is franken, TC base, 2824, gen bits and bobs.

Highly doubt any of these since it looks pretty much BP stock. Asian clone movement, no markings.

Thanks mclarendude Can you tell if its got franken bits or is that impossible? Were the BPs any good? Finally Lume Pip seems loose - how do I fix?

Thanks again

I edited my initial post.

To Franken a BP Kermit is somewhat difficult. You cannot use a gen dial unless you have the Clone 3135 version etc.

BP's are okay, the better ones are the 3135 versions.

The watch looks pretty much BP stock.

To fix the lume pip you can remove it and just add some GS Hypo Cement to it and reinstall. Let it dry overnight.
