I'd like to buy a PAM from watcheden.com. Is it a good website? Do you know if watcheden ship to Italy?

P.S.: Are there other different sites where I can buy a PAM for less than 130$?

Yes, it is reliable in the sense that Watcheden is an approved dealer here at RWI, and they will definietly NOT scam you. But everything could happen and the watch could for several reasons end up dead at your door step or have a scratch or something similar that requires you to send it back to Watcheden (and then shipping back to them is usually at your expense). But this could happen to you no matter which one of the approved dealers you buy from! Anything could happen when you buy reps, BUT as long as you stay with the approved dealers you will NOT be scammed!

Go with Watcheden if you have found a watch you like on their site! (And then sit and wait with patience - sometimes it takes 3 weeks for the watch to arrive. Three veeeeery long weeks when you are waiting for a PAM! )

I'm not a PAM expert really, but I am not very sure about those 2 in the sense that they are not very close to the gen. But at that price you will probably not find one that is. This one is fairly good: http://www.watcheden.com/panerai-lumino ... 4-p-1.html. I know others have bought PAMs from Watcheden but haven't seen any reviews, apart from for the more expensive pieces. I noticed sobrazura bought one some time ago, but do not know the price for that one or if he was happy with it. Drop him a PM.

Robert also has some well priced entry level PAMs, for instance this at $99 + shipping: viewtopic.php?f=196&t=43897 and this one $79 + shipping viewtopic.php?f=196&t=54997 The least expensive shipping is only $10.

We could use some reviews of the cheap entry level PAMs!

Are they any good? Well, yes. They tell time, they will probably last you a long time, they will look good on your wrist and they will fool most people (because most people have no idea what a Panerai is). They will not fool a fellow rep nerd and not a Paneristi. Will you be satisfied? NO! You will never be completely satisfied. The more you read and learn about reps the more you will notice the flaws. But you have to start somewhere!

The problem with PAMs are that thay are very addictive, and I can't really put my finger on why that is. You simply need one more no matter how many you have got. Not to mention the straps. I hope you understand that after you have bought your PAM you will need to buy a strap at around $100-150. The straps that come with the watch is usually ok and does the job, but getting a strap from eg StrapCulture will lift your PAM to a completely new level! One of the best tips I can give you regarding both watches and straps is to continuosly scan the "For sale" subfora of RWI. You will find great deals here!

I had to stop taking heroin after starting collecting reps, I simply can not afford both and heroin was easier to quit... :wink:
