Hello all!

I'm new to the forums and desperately need help finding myself a Panerai. I've narrowed it down to two choices:

pam104

or

pam111H

I really love both but i can only have one for now. I'm leaning towards the 111H but i can't find one with a good movement and with a black leather strap. What movement should i be looking for (in the 111H and 104)? I'd like to keep it under 275 dollars if possible. Where is a good place to purchase it?

Thanks!!!!

do yourself a favour and get the 111H with the handwound mvmnt, i would recommend to spend a bit more and getting the fully modded version
from Davidsen.

...Or, if you're not a fussy, you can go the cheap route and read through this thread.
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=53451 Mine is the us$128 version from a watcheden and I'm very happy with the quality! Of course, if you want the best lume, best CG, etc. I've always read that Davidsen is the way to go.

Don't expect too much from the replica leather strap, most of us here buy aftermarket leather straps from different sources. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24669 I've ordered 2 straps from panatime and still waiting for them to arrive.

Welcome to the forum, btw. :D :D :D

I took the cheap route, bought that exact same 111h from WE.
The strap is abyssmally poor, so get an aftermarket one.

With the rest of the watch i'm quite pleased, quality is ok, lume isn't great but ok, keeps the time well. I'd buy it again as my first PAM.

Or you could spend about 50 dollars more, order from D4M and get the high canon mod already done with sapphire as well. Thats the best bang for your buck under 200 IMO

Word is Davidsen. You need to send him an e-mail to get things started. I have a Panerai 232 from him and it's the best of my 10 reps so far. Check out his watches at http://photobucket.com/albums/e230/watchmmx/ Password: mmx

I have also heard Sead1999 has a great 111. I ordered one from him but it's not here yet so I don't know. Look him up in the Trusted Dealers section over at RepGeek.

One last thing: Check out the PAM 111e also. It's slightly different but many like it better for its sausage dial and polished Crown Guard, and a caseback that says "E series".
