I am considering a Panerai rep.

Must be the 42mm and like the iconic crown guard.

Tried a gen 392 on and it is perfect so my search for the most accurate 392 rep has begun.

I've come across 3 contenders. As follows:-

http://www.ttw8488.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_413&products_id=13049

http://puretime01.com/pam392-o-ladies-ss-black-dial-on-black-leather-strap-p9000.html

http://puretime01.com/pam392-q-lite-ladies-v6f-11-best-edition-on-black-leather-strap-p9000.html

Being new to Panerais I am struggling to see much of a difference in the watches above. Having read the guides it seems the 392 rep is a new model and up until recently there were not many reps about.

The top link is the newest rep as I understand it and the advert would suggest it is the best to date.

Can any of you hardened Panerai enthusiasts point me to the best/most accurate 392 42mm rep?

I hope to buy this weekend so any insightful advise into my question would be appreciated.

Thanks all.

Dave.

They are all from the same maker, only dfference is the serial number on the case back. O series is older than P series.

Thank you Kilowattore.

So the watches are all physically identical aside from the serial number?

So by virtue of that, the cheapest offers the best value?

The serial numbers only identify the year of manufacture and the number on the watch.
The letter corresponds to the year.
The number , for example : 760/1500 is your watch number (760) on 1500 produced by Panerai in 1 year.
That's all.
To find out the years and the watches produced numbers consult the Paneristi site.

I don't like the 42mm case models...but it's a personal "taste".
I would purchase without a doubt the 346 or the 380 like Radiomir.
The models : 005 - 111 - 177 - 127 (but is a 47mm) - 026K Destro , like Marina.

If this is your first Panerai , I would purchase a classic model , without the manufacture caliber. So all the models that I wrote.
Then , everyone has their own aesthetic taste.....
The 372 - 390 - 360 are very beautiful.
All models are judged by ALE sup.rep.

Some good ideas there for straps.

From which seller did you buy the watch? Do you have a link?
