Help Me Decide: 6497 based, brown sandwich dial or tantalum

Hi All-

I definitely want a 6497 based. I am interested in the tantalum (blue hands), or a titanium based brown dial (ideally sandwich but I haven't found one). I have a Rad 183H from davidsen already and I only want two PAMS total (this one to be a LUM)... Wrist shots if you have any. It doesn't appear that the tantalum is too popular here.

thanks for your time and knowledge

Well, the problem with the 172 (blue hands, Tantalum Luminor) is that most, if not all, the current versions are brushed stainless steel, not titanium. Now, titanium is wrong, but it's much closer to gen than brushed SS.

The only brown sandwich dial rep I know of is the 232 which is a 47mm Radiomir.

I have 2 I want right now, the 036 sausage brown dial, the numbers are set on top of the dial and the 177. Both are Ti but the 177 is the sandwich dial. Good luck with your search, it looks like the pickins are getting slim these days.

I have a DSN 056 Destro that I've been considering selling because I've decided the brown face just isn't for me. Watch is perfect and comes with Swiss movement (though I've never opened it up to check. I'm led to believe that DSN's word is good). Paid $400 for it and would like to get as much of that back as possible. Maybe this is the nudge I need..... PM me if interested.

Both of these watches are old-school models of the watches you are interested in. The Tantalium has been modified by me with silver hands, instead of the blue. The blue hands that came on the watch were too thin and I just prefer the silver - accuracy be damned. They both have a very different feel. The 036 is much less elegant and flashy than the Tantalium
