I destroyed the crown... Over dremeled it to the point that the connecting part of the stem came through and the whole thing fell apart...

Where can I buy a suitable replacement for this, T48s? What options are there? Was the cartel 005 crown the most accurate? Or can I take this as an opportunity to upgrade :p

I must say I am truly paying the price of learning how to do Mods...

Sorry to hear that mate, errors are part of the learning process, but I have to admit this one is pretty good! :D

I heard the factory don't sell/give parts for these, they want the watch back and do the repair themselves. You'll have to pay for the repair, though.

Yes... but how does the cartel crown compare against the T48s or those I see being sold as Seads or Palps... I just need another pretty good one so that I can still wear my 005 and not buy a brand new one...

I have no idea. I heard the stock one was pretty good but after comparing with a gen I increased the beveling on one side to make it look more gen like.

Maybe Coldi can help you about the accuracy, I think he studied pam crowns quite carefully.

can you not just get some liquid metal filler to fill it back in, like solder something like that?

I suppose I can. Its not like completely broken off but I am not quite a handy person and I can't afford to keep getting tools just for this component of the hobby... So the better option for me is to get a new crown...

To be honest, when I compared the crown against what my Little Hero 111H is using, they look completely similar in outlook...

bro, if ya just looking to replace the crown, try scouting for spares which everynow and then will pop up in the sales section. you could also maybe consider the crown from noobfactory 111J thou which is quite good imho.

oh no.

Ok the crowns on the new models have a wider lip around them to accommodate the the hex tube. The T48 is non-spring loaded and wont be accurate and the worst part is the t48 has a smaller lip and wont fit over the hex tube.

I might have one from a 111J crown available in a few weeks
