Hi guys, I have a problem. My Tudor BBR is foggy inside and it appeared for the first time today. Another problem I have is the movement isnt winding. My question is is this worth fixing or should i get a gen eta 2824 that i can pick up for 140Euros new. Just so you know the lume on the hands of the watch is peeling off so I ordered a new Dial and new Hands that need to be installed aswell and I would like to get it all over with in one go. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Edit: I should add that im not 100% sure that it is not winding i just dont hear any winding sound when i turn the crown but watch runs fine when I wear it and also has a solid power reserve. Lasts around 2 days.

Okay well, I did manage to get the fog out, sorry I didnt take any pics before ( no idea why i didnt) but what I did was i took the movement out and blow dried it lightly until it was dry. Then i just put it back together like normal. After that it was winding fine again. I also got to take a pic of the broken hands that I wanted to switch. For some odd and stupid reason though my mail got returned to china by customs. (in the package are only a dial and hands) but luckily they didnt seize it so Helenarou will resend them.

Heres a pic of the broken hour hand:

Apparently if you put the watch in rice it draws out the moisture...

it is foggy because the watch isn't sealed properly. when there is a temperature change (or if the watch comes into contact with water), it can cause your watch to fog up inside (if the watch isn't sealed properly)

maybe new and lubricated gaskets (caseback gasket, crystal gasket, and tube gasket) should do the trick. If that fails, then maybe your watch case has manufacturing defect. Not all replicas watches are guaranteed to be water resistant

it was the caseback gasket. It was too large for the case and didnt fit inside its groove properly. There was condensation on the movement retaining ring when i opened the watch but after i put it back together and had dried it with the blow dryer i put it into a bowl of rice overnight with the crown open. forgot to mention that. It should be fine now and im just waiting for my new dial and hands so I can replace them and the watch will be golden again :)

sounds all good then!
i guess once you are done, it would be good to send the watch to a watchmaker for re-sealing and lubricating the gasket, then do a pressure test

Yeah i was thinking about that too. Costs 40 euros but its alright. Just didnt see why i would pay 120 euros for a full service if i can get the swiss eta new on ebay for the same price

Okay so the fog just reappeared while I was in the gym so I put the watch back inside a lunch box with dry rice. Gonna leave it there for a day or two and then send it off to waterproofing. Also swapped the dial and hands already so heres some pics:

Sadly didnt take any pics when the watch was mounted together other than the First pics in this post where the watch was foggy. I will take more pics once the fog is cleared.
