Hey everyone! First off, thank you for all of this invaluable gathering of information. I have logged days and days of reading. I think what I’ve come to appreciate the most is the variety of opinions and expertise. Everyone seems to have a taste, and that alone seems to be driving every factory to level up. I think what’s been hardest for me is what an I going to trade lol.

anyway, I’ve been looking everywhere and I’m stuck. I’ve bought a few watches from TD’s here (thank you btw) but what I cannot seem to find is a TD or factory that can even answer me. Is there, or what are then chances of someone making an SuperOcean Automatic 44. I’ll post pics to better describe it.

oh and if this isn’t the right section, mods please move me and educate me.

again thank you for the information!

I think it will depend on the popularity of the watch and if the old stock sells. I'm sure your aware of the old version that was made by GF and Noob. Patience is always key when waiting for new models, however if they don't end up making it, I'm sure you can go the franken route by getting a genuine dial and the insert.

Thanks offpink! I actually didn’t even consider swapping the dial! I guess I thought I just wasn’t looking in the right places. I do appreciate your reply. I’m just getting into this and excited of the venture into a new hobby. Now if i could get my wife as excited as I am! Looks like I’m going to start reading about swapping and gen dial purchases next. Off to the search bar i go. Thanks again!

It's a fairly easy process but time consuming! Once you find the dial (which will take a lot of time), it took me a year and a half to find the blue/black SuperOcean Heritage Chronograph dial in Blue/Black (was pretty damaged as well) but didn't want to wait any longer and paid 300$ for it. Once you get the dial, you contact one of the watchmakers on the forum and they'll quote you for the service. You ship the watch and wait till it comes back (which will feel like a year)!

Here is the watchmakers/modders section on the forum: https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/watchmakers-and-horologists

Forgot to add, for the dial and insert, I would recommend Chrono24's Part/Accessory section. If you don't have any luck there, I could get you in contact with my watchmaker who can order parts from Breitling.

Breitling is a pretty popular brand and the SuperOcean is a pretty popular model. These have always been made in the past. I would find it hard to believe that it doesn't get repped. The gen has been out for quite almost a yr now. It is due....

Seriously can’t thank you both enough. Nanook65, I agree it’s such a killer watch i would be surprised if they didn’t rep it. Trouble is, as a gen it’s not really that expensive gen, 5k. I mean it’s not cheap by any means in comparison to a rep but not a 100k watch either. Anyway I love it, blue trap, thick white numbers and a 44. It’s not complicated but bold.

offpink, a year and a half!! Wow, I admire the commitment. Maybe that’s what it’ll take. There’s a part of me that would love the satisfaction of creating, but another part with zero patience. Lol. I guess what i should i start a franken with something I’m less impatient for. I have a Sub here that’s pretty well done but i know little about it. I bought it while in Vietnam and although based on everything I’ve read it’s pretty clean, that might be one that I start breaking in my tools. Where could i post pics of it to learn what factory it might be from? I bought it when I knew nothing about replicas. I know GC pics are frowned upon but this is one I already own. Anyway, sorry off topic.

thanks again you two! Cheers.

Lots of 3k gens get repped. I'd lay odds that this one will too. As far as price point and getting repped, I would say $2,000- $2,500 is about the lower end of where the rep makers go.

I would suggest making a post in the Rolex/Tudor sub forum!

Hahahah ok I deserved that. Post and pics on the way! I’m super curious where it came from. I bought it from a street vendor, so i have pretty low expectations. But he was super educated and well, I bought it because he was cool and I liked it. Anyway thanks man!

My fingers are crossed then! I’ll keep emailing my TD with pics lol. Thanks again!

Pigs_in_Space_ Welcome to RWI. I am impressed with you being a Patron within 7 posts.

I think we have to wait for the new Rep releases usually after CNY. Now it looks like we wait till after CNY & Coronavirus.

Thank you! tkingjr. I’ve always valued information. For what everyone has assembled here and since I don’t have much knowledge yet to offer, patron was worth it! After buying my first rep while in Vietnam, I found you guys. Then I spent an incredible amount of time learning, gaining respect for everyone’s passion here. Looks like I’ve been bit with the rep bug. Now I’m waiting for a couple I bought from PT in Jan, so I’m in the same situation as many here. I don’t mind really, it makes it a little more exciting waiting. However I find myself shopping still lol. Just very grateful we got out of the airports before virus got going. We were only traveling south Asian end of Dec and Jan.

Im off to post this Sub I bought right now and learn some more about it. so again, thank you!
