Hi All, :)

Thought I'd post this here as you all so knowledgeable and know the tell tale signs.

About to pull the trigger on a GEN Breitling Navitimer 01 from 2014.

It all checks out, serial on rear of case matches the electronic warranty card and cosc certificate. The watch was serviced last year apparently. But no purchase receipt nor service receipt.

The watch looks great and I had a GEN in 2014 which I bought new so kind of know the weight and feel of the watch.

I was about the pull the trigger and compared images of my gen to this and note the date wheel font looks fatter. The date wheel fonts are 100% different.

Some pics are below and I'd be obliged to know your expert thoughts on whether I am looking at a replica.

Thanks in advance. Much appreciated.

Looks legit IMHO. Is this an Internet purchase or can you try the watch? Chrono pushers of a B01 (especially Start/Stop) have to pressed quite hard and winding the watch makes a scratching noise, as if some part inside is moving over a fine sand paper. Apart from that, the chrono second hand has absolutely no wiggle when started/stopped and returns to dead zero every time - unlike a clutch based movement a rep would use.

Edit: both the 43mm and 46mm B01 should have a glass back AFAIK.

Thanks YF. Appreciate your comments and thoughts.

What makes you think it looks legit?

Are there any tell tale signs that suggest it is? I have read of sunken date wheels but it does not seem to be affected by that.

Nothing to worry about, this is impossible to replicate. As a precaution you could always have a watch maker open the back and verify the movement (and to check that it is in good working order which could help know if a service has been made as well).

The watch is legit and this model wouldn’t have a display case back.

Agree on looking at the movement - this is indeed impossible to replicate. However, the electronic warranty card should be fairly easy - most electronic toys from China have more complex electronics inside...

That's true but the market for Breitling electronic warranty cards is microscopic so not worth their time, effort or investment.

Looks legit, i don't think theres any factory that can make the b01 that good yet.

1. Sunken DW is from A7750 movment which at that 3,6,9 config they had to ad an extra cog to make the dial at 3 work.
2. Slide rule runs all the way down the bezel and lines up nicely.
3. If the chrono works then your good to go.

This, ask for a working video of the chrono - date wheel is not sunken so if it has a working chrono then the movement is good.

Breitling changed their datewheel font on the navitimers at some point, the ones in your gen photo are from earlier models and the one you're being sold is from later knesy - if you look at some gen resale sites you can probably figure out exactly when.

Hey, I have 4 Navi reps and the only one that doesn’t snap back to 12 on the dot every time is my BP world... that thing is all over the place when reset...
my BP A23322 was also like this the first couple times o used the chrono but after I forgot and left it running for a couple hours, it works just like my red Chrono stick Navi reps - pops back to 12 perfectly...

is it something about having the gmt complication in there, did I get an old version of the BP world or what?
id love some feedback as I have t been able to find much out..

Oh and yeah I was wondering if that sandpaper like screeching noise when I wind up these Navi reps is normal. All of them are kinda like that and just feel rough or off or whatever...

thanks!
